Our teen services include reproductive health services; the Teen Advocacy Group (TAG), which is our youth development program; and health education, which is provided in local school classrooms.
Teen Clinic:
Santa Rosa Community Health Centers offers confidential, free services for teens! The law in California allows teens to be treated for “sensitive services” without notifying parents. The Teen Clinic on site at SRCHC’s Lombardi Court clinic offers pregnancy tests and counseling, birth control, STI testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, and emergency contraception. This is a teen-only space, staffed by other teens, with no adults in the waiting room (the only adults are the health care providers). Snacks, games, and music are provided.
Youth Development Program:
Santa Rosa Community Health Centers’ Teen Advocacy Group (TAG) is an organization of Santa Rosa area middle- and high-school youth who are involved in the community and concerned with teen health issues. TAG serves as an advisory group for SRCHC to ensure that services are teen-friendly and meet the needs of community youth. TAG members are trained as peer health educators, and they make presentations in classrooms about health services available to youth at Elsie Allen Health Center and SRCHC’s Teen Clinic. TAG is committed to creating a healthy and safe environment for youth in our community. Please contact Abigail Barajas if you would like to learn more about this program at (707) 547-2220, ext. 400, or by email at abigailb@srhealthcenters.org.
Health Education for Teens:

In addition to the eight-hour curriculum, we also offer a free (grant funded) one-session informational presentations about birth control, HIV prevention, and teen services.
